Focusing on positive consumer sentiments, Tata Motors has been making the correct move by introducing special editions of its SUV's. In August, the company launched Jet Edition of Harrier, Safari and Nexon. The SUV portfolio refresh is now complete with Punch getting its special Camo Edition. The Camo Edition starts at Rs 6.85 lakh ex-showroom.
Camo Edition was first introduced with the Harrier. Apart from the green shade that represents the grit and determination of the armed forces, Camo Edition also has a few exclusive features. Now, there is another similar set of features available with Tata Punch.
Tata Punch Camo Edition features
Tata bringing the Camo Edition to India and taking it a step further with military green colour, the car comes with emerald badging on all four sides of the body and is available in both MT and AMT options. It has a 7" Harman infotainment system, Apple Carplay compatibility, 16-inch charcoal diamond-cut alloy wheels, reverse parking camera and fog lights. What else does this unique edition have in store? Both LED DRLs and tail lamps come standard along with Tharo center mounted parking sensors.
Camo Edition granted Punch with a distinctive design change as well as an exclusive SUV in the Camo color. With the introduction of Camo, it's clear that Harrier and Nexon don't stand a chance. Safari has 4 additional editions including Gold, Adventure and Safari Colors. Unlike their competitors, Punch has a unique official edition with only the Camo version remaining.

The thing with green is that it's not among the preferred colour options for SUVs, who are usually brighter colours like white, grey, black and silver. But Harrier and Safari have seen that a lot of their sales come from their Dark editions - accounting for over half of their total sales. It's too early to tell how Mtn Camouflage Edition will be received; the answer is still a mystery.
