The Government of India has launched Udyogini, which translates to Women Entrepreneur, as part of its efforts to uplift and cultivate female entrepreneurship. Implemented by the Women Development Corporation, this scheme provides financial assistance for those women with limited resources to start their businesses. This project assists in improving the income of an individual or family and can have a positive impact on the economic advancement of the nation.
The Government of India has launched the Udyogini Scheme, under Women Development Corporation to assist Indian Women Entrepreneurs. This initiative is intended to empower women economically, by providing financial assistance for business opportunities. It not only boosts their income level but also contributes to national economic growth.
Interest Rate - Competitive, subsidized, or free for special cases
Loan Amount- Max. up to Rs. 3 lakh
Annual Family Income - Rs. 1.5 lakh or less
No income limit- For Widowed or disabled women
Collateral- Not required
Processing Fee- Nil
This scheme is available to women across all sections of the society without discrimination. Udyogini loan is offered by Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC), Punjab and Sind Bank, Saraswat Bank, as well as other public and private sector banks and major NBFCs. Udyogini Yojana Scheme aims to organize a range of skill development programs for women in addition to providing financial support.

Several banks are offering Udyogini Yojana to aspiring women entrepreneurs across the country. This scheme promotes women's entrepreneurship and financial empowerment exclusively. Women entrepreneurs from rural areas can apply for subsidized loans under this program.
A number of financial institutions offer Udyogini Scheme loans at competitive interest rates, including cooperative banks, regional rural banks (RRBs), and commercial banks. The Udyogini Scheme provides subsidies from the corporation for running business activities to only women entrepreneurs. Interest Rate - As per business requirements
Age Criteria - Min. 18 years and Max. 55 years
Loan Amount for Women belonging to SC/ST category - Unit cost from Rs. 1 lakh – Rs. 3 lakh
Subsidy - Up to 50%, family income limit to be less than Rs. 2 lac for SC/ST category
For General Category- Subsidy is 30% or a maximum of Rs. 90,000 wherein unit cost is Rs. 3 lakh
Family Income Criteria - Should be less than Rs. 1,50,000 for General and Special Category
EDP Training provided - For 3-6 days, before loan disbursal
