Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) – PMAY 2.0, the state aims to construct around 5 lakh houses for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) by 2030, focusing on both urban and semi-urban regions.
Another significant initiative is the special housing scheme for women government employees, which plans to provide affordable homes to over 4 lakh women employees across various departments, including teachers and administrative staff. This scheme promotes gender inclusivity and financial security for working women in the state.
Additionally, BSHB is developing multi-storey residential buildings under the Saat Nischay-II program. These projects are designed to benefit the urban poor, with special priority for SC/ST communities and families displaced due to development projects.
