Recent Housing Scheme: Sanand EWS-II Awas Yojana (PMAY–Urban)
The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) has recently introduced the Sanand EWS-II Awas Yojana under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) to provide affordable homes for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) families.
This project is located near Sanand, one of the fastest-growing areas around Ahmedabad. The scheme includes around 756 residential flats, each measuring approximately 39.94 sq. meters, priced at about ?6 lakh per unit. These homes are designed with modern facilities like proper roads, water supply, electricity, and drainage systems.
In addition, AUDA has announced plans to build over 10,000 affordable houses across 30 different locations in and around Ahmedabad. These homes range from 1BHK to 2BHK units, priced between ?7 lakh and ?30 lakh, depending on the size and location. The entire process of applying for these schemes is online, making it simple and transparent for all eligible applicants.
