Recent Housing Scheme: PMAY (Urban) Affordable Housing Project – Sevasi & Vemali
The Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has recently launched a large-scale affordable housing project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme. This project aims to provide safe, affordable, and modern homes to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) families in the Vadodara region.
The housing scheme is being developed at two key locations — Sevasi (TP1, FP 119 & 133) and Vemali (TP1, FP 109, 119 & 114). Together, these projects will offer 820 housing units, including 520 EWS and 300 LIG houses. The estimated total project cost is around ?60.44 crore. Each site will have proper infrastructure, including paved internal roads, water supply, electricity connections, and drainage facilities.
The Vemali site will include 200 EWS and 180 LIG houses, while the Sevasi site will include 320 EWS and 120 LIG houses. These housing units are designed with efficient space use and basic amenities to ensure comfort and quality living for residents. This initiative reflects VUDA’s commitment to inclusive urban growth and support for the central government’s vision of Housing for All.
