Recent Housing Scheme
The Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) has recently launched several housing projects under its 2025–26 initiative, focusing on affordable homes for all income groups — from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to Middle-Income Groups (MIG). These projects aim to ensure every citizen has access to quality housing with modern facilities at reasonable prices.
Under the new housing drive, GHB has introduced projects in Jetpur (Rajkot district), Surat, and Navsari, along with redevelopment plans in Ahmedabad. The most notable feature is the offering of homes starting from Rs. 9 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). GHB has also approved the redevelopment of 11 old housing societies in Ahmedabad, increasing the total number of flats from 1,880 to over 3,500.
Key Highlights of the Scheme:
• Affordable flats for EWS, LIG, and MIG categories in major cities.
• Jetpur Project – 48 EWS and 32 LIG flats in Rajkot district.
• Surat Project – 150 LIG flats in Reliance Char Rasta, Sardar Nagar Colony.
• Navsari Project – 868 MIG flats near Dharmin Nagar.
• Redevelopment Projects – 11 societies in Ahmedabad for modern housing.
• 100% Penalty Waiver on delayed payments for old beneficiaries till 30th September 2025.
