Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport, is set to be inaugurated on October 30, 2025, as announced by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu. Designed to be one of India’s largest airports, it will help reduce the growing air traffic at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and improve connectivity across the country.
Commercial flights are expected to begin within 45 days of the inauguration, with the first phase offering direct flights to at least 10 major cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Jewar Airport is expected to boost business, tourism, and economic growth in the National Capital Region and nearby states.

Initial Phase Capacity: The first phase will have a single runway and a terminal that can handle 12 million passengers per year.
Future Expansion: Plans are in place to increase capacity to 70 million passengers annually.
