Recent Housing Scheme: Rehabilitation Housing Project for Coalfield-Affected Families
The Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA) has recently been involved in a large-scale Rehabilitation Housing Project aimed at providing safe and permanent homes to residents affected by subsidence and fire hazards in the Raniganj Coalfields area.
Under this project, around 10,300 housing units are planned across Andal, Daskeary, Bijaynagar, and Jamuria in the Paschim Bardhaman district, with approximately 50% of the construction already completed. Once finished, these houses will be handed over to ADDA for allotment to the displaced beneficiaries.
This initiative reflects ADDA’s ongoing commitment to improving urban housing standards and providing secure shelter to vulnerable communities in the Asansol-Durgapur region.
