Recent Housing Scheme – Haripur Residential Scheme (2025)
The Haripur Residential Scheme (2025) is the latest housing initiative launched by the Hapur & Pilkhuwa Development Authority (HPDA). Spread across 22 hectares near Babugarh, this project is being developed with an investment of Rs. 145.47 crore under the Chief Minister’s Urban Expansion Scheme. Farmers are being compensated four times the circle rate for land acquisition. This marks HPDA’s first major residential project in nearly two decades, aiming to provide affordable and well-planned housing to residents while promoting urban growth in the Hapur–Pilkhuwa region.
About Hapur & Pilkhuwa Development Authority (HPDA)
The Hapur & Pilkhuwa Development Authority was established in 1996 under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973. It functions as a key planning body for the systematic development of Hapur, Pilkhuwa, and nearby areas. HPDA oversees land use planning, infrastructure development, housing projects, and regulation of construction activities to ensure balanced urban growth.
Vision and Objectives
• To promote planned and sustainable urban development in the Hapur–Pilkhuwa region.
• To provide affordable housing for all income groups.
• To ensure modern infrastructure, connectivity, and eco-friendly surroundings.
• To regulate construction in alignment with the master plan.
• To attract private and public investments for regional growth.
Past Housing Schemes
HPDA has previously launched several housing and residential plot schemes to meet the growing demand for housing. Some notable past projects include the Preet Vihar Housing Scheme and Mukandnagar Residential Scheme, which offered residential plots and flats with essential civic amenities. However, after a long gap, the Haripur Residential Scheme (2025) has revived HPDA’s housing development activities.
Conclusion
The Hapur & Pilkhuwa Development Authority continues to play a vital role in shaping the city’s urban landscape. With the launch of the Haripur Residential Scheme, HPDA is stepping towards fulfilling its vision of balanced, sustainable, and inclusive development. The project reflects the authority’s commitment to providing quality housing and improving the region’s overall living standards.
