In recent years, the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has been actively implementing housing and urban infrastructure programs to improve living standards across urban centers of the state.
The authority is currently involved in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U), which provides affordable housing for economically weaker and low-income groups in urban areas. Additionally, the Chief Minister Housing Assistance Programme (CMHAP) extends support for housing construction and upgradation to eligible families across Meghalaya.
