Recent Housing and Plot Scheme
The Patiala Urban Planning & Development Authority (PDA) has recently announced significant housing and land development initiatives aimed at improving urban living and providing affordable homes. The most notable among these is the EWS Plot E-Auction Scheme 2025, under which residential plots earlier reserved for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are being converted into regular residential and commercial plots for public e-auction. This step ensures better land utilization and transparency in the property allocation process. In addition, PDA is also developing an Affordable Housing Project under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) at Hajimajara Village on the Patiala–Sangrur Road, which focuses on providing modern yet economical homes for low-income families.
Key Highlights of the Recent Schemes:
• E-auction of EWS Plots in key urban estates such as:
o California Estate – 3.31 acres
o Tricone City – 3.63 acres
o PUDA Enclave–I – 2.95 acres
o Urban Estate Phase–4 – 3.89 acres
• Affordable Housing Project (PMAY-U) at Hajimajara Village includes:
o 176 dwelling units with a carpet area of approximately 25.25 sq. meters each.
o Spread across 1.69 acres with a total project cost of ?9.26 crore.
o Focused on providing affordable homes to EWS and LIG categories.
