Recent Housing Scheme: Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana (Urban) – 2024
The Haryana Housing Board (HHB) has recently launched the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2024, a flagship housing initiative aimed at providing affordable homes to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) families residing in urban areas. The scheme reflects the state’s vision of Housing for All and seeks to improve the standard of living for lower-income families by ensuring access to permanent, safe, and well-planned housing.
Under this initiative, eligible EWS families with an annual income of up to ?1.80 lakh and without a pucca house in any urban area will be allotted a 30-square-yard plot to construct their own home. The scheme is aligned with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) under the Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) model, ensuring transparency, affordability, and ease of ownership.
The first phase of the project targets around 1 lakh urban families across Haryana, with a focus on inclusivity, self-reliance, and community development.
